To register for 2009 WSI, follow these steps:

Fill out the form below. This information will be used solely for the WSI registration process. Read the terms of the "Notice", click the box for "I agree with these terms", and click the "Register" button.
Pay your registration fee securely via PayPal. You can pay using a credit card, an eCheck, or via a PayPal account. When payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email from PayPal and be re-directed back to the WSI registration site (this site).
Your registration will then be updated in the WSI database as confirmed. The owner, the skipper, and the WSI registrar will be sent an email containing a PDF attachment detailing your registration and including the Notice of Race and other information.
NOTE: Please read the check-in requirements in the Notice of Race.
You will then be presented with a confirmation page and given the option to print your completed registration.
If you pay by credit card, your monthly statement will show "PAYPAL*OBJECTFRAME".

If you choose not pay via this method use the Print Form option above, which will let you fill out your registration electronically and print the completed form. Then mail it to Cathy Andersen, 235 Imperial Circle, Rochester, NY 14617. Phone number 585-254-7334. Include a check for $30.00 written out to Genesee Yacht Club. On the memo line of the check please put ”WSI-2009”. This year, we will be donating a portion of the $30.00 registration fee to “Alternatives For Battered Women”.

For more information about the race, click here. You do not have to be affiliated with a yacht club to participate - everyone is welcome to join the race. There will be launch equipment available for those who trailer in. If you need a tow out to the start line, please let us know ahead of time. (A PHRF certificate is NOT required, however, we will need to have your boat rating. If you do not have one, contact contact Dave Overy at 585-455-0350 or email dave.overy@allaboutmotion.com WELL BEFORE THE EVENT to get your rating at no charge.)

If you need a boat to skipper because you are unable to get your boat to GYC for the Regatta or you do not have a boat, please contact Cathy Andersen at jandersen@rochester.rr.com to make arrangements.

MEET AND GREET Friday night before the regatta on July 17, 2009. An informal gathering at GYC before the Regatta.

PICNIC and MUSIC after the regatta WSI will be holding a picnic and awards ceremony. We encorage everyone to attend whether you are racing or not. We hope you can join in on the fun!

I hereby certify that I have on board the suggested safety equipment as set forth in the Genesee Yacht Club Sailing Instructions. I also agree that the Genesee Yacht Club, in specifying this minimum list, is not responsible for any injury or loss to person or property that may occur. Further, I believe that my boat is well found for this race, and that its gear is in good working order. Having entered this race of my own free will with the sole idea of fair play, I do hereby agree to comply with The Racing Rules of Sailing and the sailing instructions for this event. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta." Rule 4 is "DECISION TO RACE. The responsibility for a Boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone".
